Countdown 'Til Paxton!

The Big Day

The Big Day

Is it really the big day?

Early labor can begin weeks before the big day. You'll know the big day has come when:

  • Contractions get stronger instead of easing up
  • If you change position, contractions don’t go away
  • Contractions progress: They get more frequent and more painful, and sometimes fall into a regular pattern

OK, this is happening. What do we do?

Kelly

Kelly, please tell Jason that the big day is here. He'll take it from there!

Minnie

Minnie, it's your job to keep Kelly happy and relaxed! Play with your mouse toys and get Kelly to go outside and walk around a bit.

Jason

Jason, when Kelly tells you the big day is here, take a deep breath. Then do everything on this checklist:

When do we go to Piedmont?

Go to Piedmont when Kelly approaches active labor. Active labor is when the contractions are less than 10 minutes apart.

Things to do at Piedmont

Valet the car at the valet entrance. Take Kelly up to the Delivery ward and get her checked in and make reservations.
